Have you ever heard the saying, “The rich get richer while the poor get poorer?”
It’s certainly true on Amazon.
The more sales you make, the better Amazon ranks your product for thousands of keywords. Once your product is off the ground, sales will generally improve over time.
Of course, getting there is the hard part. The truth is, most products that launch on Amazon fail to ever see significant traffic. Which is why in today’s article, I’m going to show you a tried-and-tested method to make sure that never happens to you.
How Amazon’s Algorithm Ranks New Products
Although we don’t know everything about Amazon’s A10 algorithm, we do know a lot. Specifically, there are factors we can control that determine where Amazon ranks our products.
At the end of the day, Amazon is a business. They will always reward products that are selling, because they want to maximize total profits. It’s actually good news for new products. Because Amazon is always looking for new revenue streams.
For this reason, they give every new product a chance in the rankings. However, if you don’t maximize this opportunity, the traffic is quickly diverted, and you may never see the opportunity again.
Once traffic lands on your product page, Amazon wants to see a sale. They keep averages of conversion rates across categories. If your product is above these standards, your ranking increases. If it’s below, it decreases.
When people search for products on Amazon, they usually pick one of the top 5. But not always. Sometimes, a product in a lower ranking will attract more clicks than usual. When this happens, A10 takes notice.
We’ve all had the experience of clicking on a product, then immediately exiting. Amazon takes notice of this behavior. If too many people are instantly leaving your product page, it tells Amazon they aren’t finding what they’re looking for.
On the other hand, if you have a high percentage of people staying on your page, that shows Amazon your listing is effective.
How to Increase Every Metric – Even With a Brand New Product
Now I am going to show you how to check almost all the boxes—that we know of—on Amazon’s algorithm. Whether it’s for an older product that has plateaued, or a brand-new product, this strategy will work.
I do want to note that this strategy isn’t everything you need to succeed on Amazon. If you have a bad product listing page, this strategy will still work, but will be largely ineffective in the long-run.

The Fastest Way to Attract Buyers
Wouldn’t it be nice if there was a “push button” solution to bring buyers to your page? Something you could control the volume of, and turn on and off whenever you want?
Well, there is. It’s called Vipon.com.
Vipon.com is a Amazon deals website. Sellers put their products up on the page at a discount. Vipon traffic clicks on these deals and then buys on Amazon.
This offers a level of control over your buyers that was previously impossible. For example, you can choose to flood your listing with buyers all at once. Or, you can “drip-feed” buyers to a new listing, making a small number of sales at first and scaling up.
By the time a shopper clicks through Vipon onto your Amazon page, the conversion rate is very high. That’s because the shopper already knows they want to buy your product before reaching Amazon.com.
Again, this is not ALL you need to successfully launch a new product. However, there’s a good reason Vipon.com has become one of the top deal sites for sellers.
I strongly recommend you optimize your product listing as much as possible before running a deal. Your BSR will increase during the promotion. However, whether or not you keep the rankings is up to your product page.
If you spend the time to make a detailed, quality product page, when your rankings increase, new customers will buy your product at full price. This can be all a good product needs to gain a strong position in Amazon’s rankings and grow from there.
